The Mode

The mode this week takes us back to where we started. Why do we do what we do? Choices and our determination amounting into opportunities have never been more crucial. If it were all easy we probably wouldn't even bother. Perhaps we give ourselves a challenge because we know we can exceed and even succeed. What else is there but right now? Check out the latest on streetracemusic.com :)

The last week of September is here and we have begun taking submissions for Born to Create! Every week artists, painters, photographers, musicians, or producers will have the chance to submit their art to us via email and tell us a story about themselves. One person will be chosen to shine for the week on our blog as well as website. Please do not be discouraged if you are not selected during the week you submitted material, because you will be showcased on either our Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter page. During this campaign we will also be giving away helpful tips to creating success in your respected market place and much more.
The campaign will officially kick off Sept. 29... Until then: What are you chasing?

Sitting at a small café on the Upper East side, we are excited to share with you some of the events from this weekend. Friday night our SRP producer went to an underground event on the Lower East side with the great Boogie V. A spontaneous night with fireworks, great people and great music..

Yesterday was spent in the one and only Williamsburg, Brooklyn. If you haven't already visited "the burg", and you are in the New York City area, I strongly suggest that you do. The Smorgasburg, poppin every Saturday from noon-6pm by the East River, followed by Gorbals Roof top bar, was the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Daughter's Passionate Power

StreetRacer Productions has recently released a sneak peek of their latest track in this hot and, nothing short of dramatic, promo video. I love everything about it, from the eerie and bright light shining in through the dark doors, to the way the girl steps into the brightness with the drop of the beat. What do you think about it?

The sample of the beat is taken from Daughter's emotional track "Still". Much of the band's music appears to be unheard of in the hip hop world, which is exactly why SRP finds this track so intriguing and unique. We can all relate to love, loss and that indescribable feeling of intimacy. Daughter's music evokes each once with such flawlessness and grace.

Today I am proud to present to you, Julia Gavrilina, the artist and founder of Art Case Production - a brand of hand-painted unique clothes. All works are made with special paint remained after washing. Thoughtfully Passionate

Picking up from where we left off - talking about contemplation and creative thinking. I've had the honor to accompany our StreetRacer producer, WajuBeats on a journey through Philadelphia's Academy of Art, a place for inspiration and beauty. Entering the building is like stepping into a cocoon of talent, and it is easy soak up the vibe and walk away feeling artfully rejuvenated.
