Abigail is born to create

image10 This week's #BTC is a blogger who is determined to provide a voice for others through her own. Abigail Rayson started up My Girls Tour with ambitions to create a platform for the young community to express and engage in multiple facets of life.

Despite the under 21s having a love for travel, and the majority being in full-time education, I feel that young adults are being made to choose between entertainment and information. But why should we? After all, the trends and styles that we are learning about and wearing, were they not originally created by new fresh minds? Are they not some of the best emerging artists, researchers and professionals fresh out of college? Why, as vibrant multi-faceted demographic, are we taught to seperate culture from fun and careers from creativity?

- Abigail Rayson

The content on My Girls Tour is all original. Abigail uses herself and her life as the subject matter and explains that in many aspects it becomes "a subconscious performance". She allows for the environment in which she places herself, to constantly change, but makes sure that she remains the same - true to her mission.

What Are You Chasing?

Louder Than Words

In light of the upcoming 'Born to Create' campaign, we would like to share with you the very talented photographer that StreetRacer Productions has as of recently been working with - Maggie Wilson. Not only does her work capture the many essences of life, but they also inspire us to explore several corners of our own creativity, and to reach just a little further to what it is we desire. This recent feature on A Plus is a great depiction of what Maggie's photography represents. Take a look here! 0ea14c30-cc81-469b-b32e-c40ca78e1ddf_medium

The Science of Happiness

Happiness..such a common thing, but rare? So many people walk, heads down, sucked into the rhythm of monotony and the beat of every day life. When do we stop and question, what makes me happy? For some the answer might be straight forward and simple, for others it's a maze... Is it the work you are doing, the people you spend your life with, or the way you carry yourself amongst your peers that makes you happy? Or is it a combination of all of the above? And perhaps the physical road to your answer isn't as short as the theoretical one. Someone once told me that it's when you find the crossroad between what you love and what you are good at that will make you golden..that will bring you your purpose in life. So many of us work our entire lives, never making it to this crossroad. The StreetRacer Team fights every day for what they they believe in, their happiness - the power and beauty of great music, the way it impacts people, and brings life to our souls. If you are reading, share your happiness with us.

Limelight

So what really makes someone famous? And who determines what fame is...? Those are some recent thoughts that have me pondering lately. All the while, I watch the StreetRacer producers work harder than ever: produce and create great content, make connections and reach out to the people, to you guys. But what really is it that decides who makes it and who doesn't?

Living and working in the heart of New York, you end up seeing famous people quite often. The hysteria surrounding celebrities is quite remarkable. I can't help but question if fame = talent? Or if it's all just a facade.. Well, there has to be some talent in there, but maybe with a larger scoop of luck?  I'm curious to hear what you think about fame. Share your thoughts!

Nimba

Sweet spots are not always easy to come by, but when you do find them there is not a lot like it. This sunny weekend was spent in the heart of Brooklyn amongst its incredibly eclectic and inspiring environment. A particular fave of mine turned out to be café Nimba. If you haven't already been, you definitely should! The rustic, yet simple atmosphere enabled us to sit back and soak up the peacefulness of the place. Not only were the bookshelves, brick walls and urban photography making me want to dream bigger and pursue larger, even the hot tea between my hands had my mind twitching for more.

Thoughtfully Passionate

Picking up from where we left off - talking about contemplation and creative thinking. I've had the honor to accompany our StreetRacer producer, WajuBeats on a journey through Philadelphia's Academy of Art, a place for inspiration and beauty. Entering the building is like stepping into a cocoon of talent, and it is easy soak up the vibe and walk away feeling artfully rejuvenated.

We all reach a point in our lives where adversity hits us in the face, and we begin questioning our purpose, why we are where we are and where we ought to be going. It is not easy answering your own questions in life. Contemplation. This exact word is one of the many reasons that this blog exists, for you, for me, for everyone. A creative outlet. A place for imaginative contemplation. I invite you to contemplate with me and the rest of the StreetRacer Team. Stay tuned for our upcoming, idea generating, creativity sparking post...
