As an independent music production company we love supporting and giving voice to all artists - big and small, all genres - from edm to classical. But what happens when the beats us producers create drown out the message of a song? Are we listening to the words, or just dancing along to the sound?

Today, we came across a video that has been spreading throughout social media. Poet and lyricist, Madiha Bhatti, speaks out about the objectifying and controversial lyrics of contemporary music. She pinpoints and criticizes many of the common themes in today's pop culture, themes that men and women alike have gone numb to. You don't have to agree to listen to this honest message, but I promise you that it will catch your attention.

"New New" by E Dott Valentine's Day Exclusive

What is love? " Love is temporary madness; it erupts like volcanos and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether our roots have to entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because that is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of eternal passion. That is just being in love, which any fool can do. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and that is both an art and a fortunate accident.  Those that truly love have roots that grow toward each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two. So Fresh and So Clean

It's been a while since I gave you guys a splash of fashion. So here I go... Been spending a lot of my time in the Big Apple lately, and the fashion inspiration is endless. More importantly, there is something for everyone! Which also makes me wonder if there is such a thing as a "trend" are your own trend. But before I wonder off into my fashion and identity philosophies, let me show you what's been tickling my fancy, as well as inspiring some of the StreetRacer crew!

I love the way these people accomplish a really simple yet detailed style. Less is more. For more street fashion pictures got to! Don't forget to check out the super star beat of the week...more is yet to come!

Relaxed Tailoring

It's been a while since fashion was brought up. Since it is a new year, and that also brings new fashion trends, it is about time that I give you some pointers. I have decided to get a little more in depth on mens' fashion. I have a feeling that most of you guys out there think that fashion and clothes are mostly something for the females in our society, yet both you and I know that you spend the extra five minutes checking yourself out in the mirror, or perhaps thinking twice before you decide on what shirt to go with in the morning. You can tell me that fashion is for sissies all you want. I know you give two shits about your wardrobe. So, as for 2012, your fashion conscious mind should be on the lookout for 1) seamless shoulders, 2) loose pants, 3) pleated pants and, 4) loose cut jackets. Not that doesn't sound all that bad does it? 2012 focuses on men's relaxed tailoring, in contrast to the more feminine and tailored look we experienced in 2011. Here are some examples! Be sure to tell StreetRacer Productions what you think!

A lot of hard work pays off. StreetRacer Productions is back on track with two new hot beats for your head to bobble to. This first one will make you smile..without a doubt! It is also slightly different from what you might be used to hearing from our StreetRacers:

The second track has more of a raw, hard, and very masculine feel to it. Listen and enjoy the unstoppable StreetRacer beat:

"Restless Men"

To sum up this post, here is a little fashion inspiration for you guys out there. Something that I think is really cool and fresh for men this upcoming spring and summer is mixing formal with informal wear. The trick is to just kinda throw things together - a luxurious fabric with something more casual. Hermés seems to be doing this beautifully..

She Has a Secret

Hey everyone!

Not too long ago did Victoria's Secret Fashion Show air on CBS, remember? Even though it is a bunch of gorgeous females walking down the runway in high heels and lingerie, I think that most of us forget that its actually fashion. It is time to look past the sexy bodies and wings, and take a second glance at the actual garments. The interesting thing about underwear as fashion is that it is timeless, and not something that we typically show off to the public as we would with a new pair of shoes. Another unique aspect of the show is the live music that is being played while the models strut their stuff (StreetRacer Productions loves this!). In a sense, this show is so much more than just an exposure of fashion! But back to my point, what do you think about the lingerie? Is this trendy, or is it just for show? If you're a woman, would you consider wearing it, and if you're a guy, would you buy it for your girl? What makes Victoria's Secret such a good one?

That Hair

Let's talk hair. I believe that society as a whole is very very very meticulous about their hair. It's like a part of our identity...and we all know what it's like to go to a hairdresser, tell them specifically what we want and then end up walking out of there with a frown on our faces...unhappy with our new looks. So let's face it folks..we are picky about our hair. Although, let's not be afraid of some inspiration or new twists... For the upcoming year one trendy hair style, that is both sexy and relaxed is the wet chignon look. What you do is that you apply volumizing mousse all through towel-dry hair. Let dry naturally (if you're in rush, grab the blow-dryer). Once hair is completely dry, add Aragon oil to achieve that wet, silky and shiny look. Use your fingers to run through your hair with the oil, this way you get that natural feel to it. Now pull back your hair into a low ponytail, fastening the pony-holder at a ear level. Make sure its not too tight, and notice that there is no part. Lastly, wrap your ponytail into a low bun/chignon, pulling a few strands out of there to not make it look too perfect..and voilá! You have a beautiful messy wet, but hot look!

As for my guys reading, naturally you can also strive toward a wet look. However, it would be in the form of a more sleek one. It is a traditional style for men, and requires a lot of product to get that classic slick to the side. But if you are thinking of growing your hair a bit to switch things is a suggestion for you. It is a short wavy style with more hair up top and less along the sides. This is an optimal cut for you with naturally curly hair. To style it, avoid hardening products and go for a curl controller cream that you run through your hair when it is wet. Hot hot hot!

Spring 2012

Let's face it, 2012 isn't too far away. Therefore it is time for a little fashion update on what you want to be searching for when you go shopping for spring 2012! Bold and colorful is what you should be thinking. Everything from hot pinks to tangy oranges to breezy blues and cool prints. (But don't forget to still keep it simple - less is more!)

Hello StreetRacerProduction readers!

A favorite party trend this autumn fall for women is the wide-legged jumpsuit, preferably in smooth satins and silks! This will give you the ultimate laidback evening wear. With a pair of sexy heels it is a jaw-dropper. And, guys, it is time to embrace the horizontal pattern this fall/winter. Don't be afraid of wearing stripes - it is hot! And can easily be matched with a blazer and cool pair of kakhis.

And now for some entertainment from our very own StreetRacerProduction...
